The concept of software was first written about by a British mathematician named Alan Turing (best known for breaking Nazi codes during the Second World War) in the mid-1930s. Today’s video games such as The Sims, Medal of Honor and Halo feature rich, three-dimensional environments in which one can move around and with which the user can interact.
